We had so much fun yesterday evening. Cheryl Hentz is the host of Eye on Oshkosh and she invited me to be on her show to talk about the new book and about rescue dogs.
We had so much fun. This time I invited two of my contributors to come with me including Dr. Gerald Hendrickson of Hendrickson Chiropractic and Wellness Center on Oregon. He brought his dog Murdock who he found as a stray on Murdock. What a good boy!
My other guest was Quentin Wood with Max. Quentin shared about being chosen to train dogs while at Oshkosh Correctional Institute and how he worked with dozens of dogs who ultimately became service dogs for vets and others suffering from PTSD. Journey Together Service Dog is based here in Oshkosh which is a cool connection.
Another cool Oshkosh connection is that the photographer who provided my head shot and the cover dog is Aaron Jankowski, a local pet photographer. There’s also several other Oshkosh pet owners included in the book.
And shout out to my husband Gary Scott who volunteers behind the scenes as director and in other roles.
Cheryl Hentz wrote both the foreword and afterword for this book which are amazing because she is an award-winning journalist and has been a volunteer with the Oshkosh Area Humane Society and many other animal wellness groups.
It was such a fun show and I hope some of you will watch it, adopt a dog, donate money, volunteer, foster, or buy my book. The book part helps because a portion of every book sold goes to Second Chance North to help rescue more dogs.
